Today the students put their addition skills to the test with a lesson based around the book:

"Animals on Board"

The book is about a driver who is taking a convoy of animals to the circus in different trucks. On each page a number of animals is brought in followed by another group of the same animal. The students have to add the similar animals together to find the total.

The book creatively displays the animals and the equation right on the page. 

While reading the story the students had to add in their math books to find the totals of each page.
