Students have been creating some paintings in the style of the famous Canadian artist Ted Harrison. He used bold, simple forms to represent Northern Canada. 

While teaching Inuit and First Nations pupils, he noted that they were uninspired by the city life depicted in their textbooks. 

He sought to bring to them images of their own by using non-traditional colors in landscapes that children saw in their own lives.
