Today the students hd a wonderful time swimming at Village Square Pool!
Parents if you could have your children put on their swim suits in the morning before school it would greatly help the students in getting changed faster and ready for their lessons.

The students also worked hard on using dual colored chips (red/yellow) in order to find ways to make 12.

Students would first take the 12 chips in hand and then drop them randomly on a surface. The students had to first count the red chips and record the number. Then record the yellow chips to create an equation. The total was always twelve which allowed students to develop their understandings of pairs that equal twelve.

Here we can see the recording of 7 (red) + 5 (yellow)=12

6+6=12

7+5=12

3+9=12
