Valentine - Friendship Day

Valentine’s Day is fast approaching and a few families have been asking about the celebration.  We don’t have school on Feb. 14^th, so we will have a Valentine - Friendship card exchange on  on Feb. 10^th instead.   

As a writing activity, your child may wish to give a card to classmates, whether store bought or homemade. As always, participation is completely optional. If your child would like to participate we ask that he/she provides a card for EVERY student in their respective class. Please have your child print all text independently.  

Though we appreciate your kindness, please do not send any other treats or snacks.

Some students in our school have celebrated the Chinese New Year. Today we shared this holiday with our students through the reading of Lion's Dance - Ernie Wan's chines New Year.

Please ask your child to share some of the traditions 

that they had learned about through the reading of this book.
