Today the students began their day by reading the story "In the Arctic"a Magic School Bus book learning about cold and hot temperatures. 

The students were then given the task of predicting what heats our school! The students came up with several answers including: light, fire, breath, heater, and the sun. 

The students were then taken on an in school field trip with the building operator to visit the boiler room to see what heats the school!

The students learned that it there are two boilers that work together all year using hot water and air to heat the school! We then talked about what kinds of machinery heat homes, buildings and other places that need heat.
