The students have taken part in DEAR (drop everything and read) now both today and Monday and have been showing excellent patience and involvement in the program. Once the students hear the music to DEAR they move quickly to grab books and read quietly. In the afternoon today DEAR was a little different in that the teachers moved to other classrooms and read to other students. Mr Beatties students were read to by the grade five/six teacher while Mr Lancee's students were read to by another teacher in for Mr Beatties class. The students enjoyed the special visitor and the break from work to listen to a story.
