Today the students were learning about the different food groups and portions suggested for meals.
The students began the lesson by watching an interactive video on brain pop jr.

As a class we brainstormed the different food groups and came up with several examples to fit in the food groups.
Vegetables
Proteins
Fruits
Dairy
Carbohydrates
This week we will be creating healthy meal plans that display the food groups and proper portions!
