Our Primary Coloured Creations
In science we have been using primary colors to create secondary colours. Today we studied the abstract work of artist Piet Mondrian (1872 - 1944) who used primary colors and line to create interesting pieces of art. When Piet was a little boy he like to draw geometric shapes and color them with bright primary colours.
Directions for creating our colourful pieces of art
1. First we created the design by gluing black strips of paper on to a white sheet of paper.
2. Then we added primary colors with pastels or water paint to the empty spaces.
3. We didn't pair some spaces, so that they would reman white
