Today we had a special visit from Constable Scott from the Calgary Police Service. We talked about the program he is a part of - S4.
We talked about the four cornerstones of the program and what they mean to us. Today with Constable Scott, we worked on Self Awareness: I can make choices that affect my life.

Constable Scott talked about his Toolbelt and how these tools help him do his job: keep the citizens of Calgary safe! He then talked about what tools or strategies students can use to help them do their job: learn better at school and calm down or feel better when they're sad.
He read us the story, Llama Llama misses mama. Please the picture to review the story.
In this story, Llama misses his mama and has a few strategies to make himself feel better. What are some strategies Llama used?
With Constable Scott, students wrote down their own strategies on various tools to put in their "toolbelt" Please ask your child: What "tools" can you use to help you when you're sad or upset?

We've put our tools in our toolbelt for us to use whenever we need to!
