Parents, Call the office and say the word," worms!" and give your child's name! (403) 777-6000
Sorry for the missed blog on Tuesday! Hopefully everyone had a restful Remembrance day yesterday. We had our Remembrance day assembly on Tuesday. Here are some photo highlights.
Here is a poem that we also read. Please read it with your child and talk about why the poppy is important.
Today, Mr. Beattie shared the Red Wriggler Worms with both classes today. Using our iPads as document cameras to display on the Smart Board, students were able to see the worms in great detail. Here are some pictures of what they saw.
The worms
See the segments and the little white worms - what are those?
Here are some items we are feeding our worms - can you ask your child to name a few?
Mr. Beattie told us what a group of worms is called...do you remember?
Mr. Beattie is our worm expert!
Hamid, Courtnee and Issa crushed up the egg shells for the worms to eat
Yassin and Atipa added the decomposing vegetables to the bin
We started our writing about what we already know about the worms, what we observed during our lesson today, and what else we wonder! We will share some of this work with you tomorrow!
