Our Snowy Day

Today students were very excited to play in their first real snow storm of the season. This week we will helping students devise strategies to look after all of their winter gear. i.e.: when they are undressing they can stuff their mitts, gloves scarves and hats in their jacket sleeve & hanging up all backpacks, lunch boxes, etc.

When temperatures are colder than minus 20, a large blue dot will be attached to the outside of our entrance doors. This indicates that students may come inside and wait quietly in the hallways until the bell rings.

This week we are studying the classic, Caldicot award winning book - 'The Snowy Day' by Ezra Jack Keats. This book delightfully depicts the fun a child can have on a snowy winter's day.

Students retold the many things that Peter was able to do with the morning snow and then shared some of their ideas for 'having fun' in the snow.

If you would like to listen to the story, please click on the boo cover.

Inline skating forms must be returned to school
in order for your child to participate in the program.

Skating begins Dec 11
